It is with great sadness that we hear of the passing of one of the finest musicians, Col Jones.
Join us as we celebrate the life of Col on Saturday, 12 September from 1.30pm to 4.30pm at South Tweed Sports Club.
Col was a much loved friend, a gifted musician and a familiar face in the local music community. His talent, passion for music and love of playing with others touched so many people. This afternoon is an opportunity to come together and honour Col in the best way we can, with music, friendship and the people who knew and loved him.
Harry Lynn will be organising the musicians, and Patti Boogaerdt will be coordinating the singers.
This is an open invitation to musicians and singers who would like to join in and pay tribute to Col. If you would like to take part, please let Harry or Patti know ASAP so they can coordinate the afternoon.
There will undoubtedly be musician friends of Col’s who aren’t on social media who would love the opportunity to play and honour him. Please pass this message on to anyone you think might like to participate and ask them to get in touch with Harry or Patti.
Please help us spread the word and bring together as many of Col’s musical friends as possible.
Let’s celebrate Col, a wonderful friend and an incredibly talented musician, by filling the afternoon with the music he loved.
He will be greatly missed by all of us at the Gold Coast City Jazz Club.
