The Gold Coast City Jazz Club is a club of like-minded Jazz enthusiasts who wish to see live Jazz grow on the Coast and beyond.
Held on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month at Southport Bowls Club, the club features a range of national and international artists as well as promotes, mentors and provides performance opportunities for youth jazz on the Gold Coast.
The Club is an incorporated Not–for–Profit organization.
Our Constitution
Our Constitution Aims state that the Purpose of this club shall be to:
- Contribute to the promotion, development and appreciation of the Performing Arts in Australia
- Increase public awareness of Jazz Music as one of the Performing Arts
- Provide the opportunity for local, interstate and international Jazz Musicians of all ages to share in the practice, performance and appreciation of Jazz in all its forms
- To foster and promote talented Youth Jazz Musicians through programs providing mentoring and performance opportunities with experienced Musicians
- Increase general awareness of the foundations and development of Jazz Music through imaginative promotions and programs
- Provide enjoyment for its members and others through varied activities for the presentation and promotion of Jazz, in the forms of organized concerts, dances, dinners, picnics and festivals
- Improve communications between and among Jazz enthusiasts, Musicians and the general public for mutual benefit of all concerned
